2023 marks the 100th anniversary (October 16, 2023) of The Walt Disney Company.  To celebrate this historic milestone, Disney Parks around the world prepared an array of magical activities that will surely hype up the festivities. Disney will is inspired by the journey it has took on with all the fans and families around the world who has brought Disney into their world in the past century. Disney 100 is a commemoration of all the magic it brought to life  through generations and generations. For sure the parks will be oh so festive as it goes platinum with new decorations, merchandise and food so I’m haring with you all what is in for us Disney Babies around the world in one single post!

DISNEYLAND RESORT

Disneyland, of course, is the epicenter  of Disney 100 and they prepared special events around the resort. The Magic Happens Parade returns with the debut of two new nighttime spectaculars – “World of Color” at Disney California Adventure Park and “Wondrous Journeys“, an all-new fireworks spectacular at Disneyland Park which will feature all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date, as they take Disney fans to a journey filled with nostalgia of Disney music and stories. Get to meet Mickey Mouse and the whole gang in their platinum attire. The new ride, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, is the first ride at any Disney park that stars Mickey Mouse and friends was launched last January to kick of the re-opening of Mickey’s Toon Town this March. Last February, the long-awaited return of the Magic Happens parade was back in time for its centennial year.

Walt DISNEY WORLD

The Walt Disney World Resort joins the Disney 100 celebration this spring with EPCOT in the spotlight. Later this year, a new nighttime spectacular will debut with a dazzling display of fireworks, lasers, music, and light over the World Showcase Lagoon. Disney fans will also get to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their platinum attire, too! Tron was also launched in time for D100. The Happily Ever After fireworks will once again light up the sky this 2023 with its updated version.

tokyo DISNEYLAND

There’s no news yet on how Tokyo Disneyland will be celebrating Disney 100. But the Disney 100 merchandise has already been launched in the park. It is also said that Tokyo Disney Resort will celebrate their 40th anniversary and for the celebration, “Dream-Go-Round,” will run from April 15, 2023, through March 31, 2024. The festivities will be kicking off with the premiere of a new parade, “Disney Harmony in Color”.

DISNEYLAND PARIS

Disney 100 will be celebrated on October 16, 2023 in Disneyland Paris. It is been said that there will be promising entertainment, character performances and other exclusive Disney activities throughout the day and the coming days. But they will have a new stage show, “Pixar: We Belong Together,” debuting late 2023 at Walt Disney Studios Park. Disney Dreams! will also return and light up the Sleeping Beauty Castle with projections, guided by Peter Pan’s shadow.

HONG KONG DISNEYLAND

Disney Friends are making their way down the processional in their shiny new 100th-anniversary outfits, as well as meeting Disney fans in The Annex on Main Street, U. S. A. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is making his very first appearance in the park too! HKDL will finally have a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, which will be near Cinderella Carousel as part of Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration. The second half of 2023 will get cold and hoping it won’t really bother in HKDL, as the first of the 3 Frozen Land will debut then!

SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND

There’s no news yet on how Shanghai Disneyland will be celebrating Disney 100.

DISNEY CRUISE

No further details at the moment. But Disney Cruise Lines will be celebrating this 25th anniversary this year with magical surprises and a new limited-time fireworks show will be coming to select sailings this summer.

The Haunted Mansion appearing on theaters this July 28.

Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, coming to theaters November 10.
Wish is set to hit theaters on November 22

DISNEY 100: The Exhibition

Don’t miss Disney100: The Exhibition! Now open at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and opening soon in Munich. Here’s a brand new trailer showcasing some of Disney’s crown jewels brought to life like never before. It will also go to Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, and Munich, Germany.

DISNEY 100: The concert

Hollywood Sound Orchestra brings to life Disney 100 Years of Wonder with a concert series of seminal music moments from its history. The tour features songs Disney Films like Beauty & the Beast, Mary Poppins and Encanto and highlights from the worlds of Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel. It will tour the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Paris. More dates are set to be announced.

Walt Disney and his brother, Roy O. Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio on October 16, 1923 and forever changed the world. Up to this day, 100 years later we are still living Walt Disney’s legacy. This is definitely a huge milestone for the company so for sure it will be celebrated all year long. Disney100 will definitely be the largest global celebration ever with special events across all parks around the world and more.

Disney has brought its storytelling magic in every corner of the world. Who would have thought its first cartoon with synchronized sound, Steamboat Will in 1928, its first feature-length animation film in 1937, with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and building Disneyland so that we can all experience magic in our hearts will grow through generations and generations.
