Eight months into this #LifeInTheTimeOfCorona here in the Philippines, most of us has started to get used to what they call the #NewNormal. Our economy has started to open up again, since we really need this. Business establishments has slowly began to adapt to the situation. Though we are still in General Community Quarantine (Until November 30, 2020, as of this writing), many restrictions has eased up like in local and international travel, public transportation, hotels and other tourism-related spots – but has safety protocols to follow. Kids, elderly and those who has underlying illness are still not allowed to come out. But some areas like in BGC has already allowed kids in some dine-in areas.

Due to this, more people has started to come out again, because we know, we can’t be locked in forever. The City of Pasig, headed by our dearest Mayor Vico Sotto has come up of a solution to make contact tracing easier, faster, safer and more efficient.

Filling up contact tracing forms, taking most of our time – writing or waiting for our turn to fill up will no longer be needed. Under the Pasig Pass Ordinance (Ordinance No. 49, s. 2020), a PasigPass QR Code will now be a requirement upon entry to government institution and offices, business, medical and religious establishments, educational institutions, financial institutions, factories, hospitality-related industries and restaurants, as well as public transportations, within Pasig City. As of today, they have already implemented it at Pasig City Hall, as well as in SM City East Ortigas and SM Hypermart Pasig. The wide spread implementation of this Ordinance shall take effect starting November 17, 2020.

How to download your PasigPass QR Code?
Go to the PasigPass page, register pertinent details and download your own unique QR Code. Business establishments also have to sign up and download the designated PasigPass Scanner.
PasigPass registration is open for all residents, and those working and visiting Pasig City, aged 18 years old and above. You can just flash your PasigPass QR Code via your mobile phone or have it printed.

Remember Pasigueños, NO PASIGPASS, NO ENTRY! Download your PasigPass QR code now at pasigpass.pasigcity.gov.ph

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2021
The PasigPass app will also serve as the city’s official registration for the vaccination against COVID-19. There will be no need to register in any other way and only your valid ID will be needed aside from the PasigPass registration. The nearly 200,000 frontliners, indigents, senior citizens and uniformed personnel would be prioritized, and residents must wait for a text message coming from Pasig City.

UPDATE: MARCH 1, 2021
We can now use PasigPass as we enter offices and establishments in Mandaluyong (MandaTrack), Valenzuela (ValTrace), Antipolo (Bantay Covid). It means that we don’t have to register and download another QR code from the above mentioned cities and we only have to use 1 QR code for 4 cities! Save us from hassle in looking for the QR codes in our mobile phone or carrying yet another QR code card.
