It’s been 2 years since my last visit. I actually didn’t want to go here now since I’ve been here a lot of times, even before I even had a child. I kind of memorize everything that is inside already. But we have no choice but to go here because it’s the nearest place that we can go to coming from Discovery Suites.
Today, I brought along with me, Coco, my little cousin, Julianne and my Auntie Grace’s Balibayan friend’s daughter, Brianne.
The two girls were very ecstatic, while my Coco was a little bit afraid even if there’s a glass that separates him with the animal. Anyway, here’s the girls’ pictures at the first floor of Ark Avilon.
In the span of 2 years, a lot has changed. The middle part where the fishes used to be was replaced by a small play area (ride ons). The bird area was replaced by the meerkats. The small stage for Jenny the Orangutan was replaced by the bear cat. But I noticed that the animals inside the glassed enclosure were more energetic now unlike before. I believe we went the same time of the day.
Upstairs, the birds and the amphibians were still in the same area, as well as the goats, rabbits and guinea pigs. The tortoise are now located upstairs and can now be fed. Feeding the goats with one bundle of kangkong, the tortoise with 3 pieces of okra, rabbits and guinea pigs with a carrot, and bear cat with a saging na saba are all fo P50 each. The kids super enjoyed feeding them. I’m happy with Coco, even if he was afraid at first, he finally got food and fed the animals.
Beside the feeding area is still the cafeteria. But if you move further, the area for photo op with the birds, pony, stage area for Venus the Orangutan, and the snake are all located at the far side of the ark. You pay P50 for every 2 shots. Dati naman, walang bayad si Jenny, now we have to pay na.
All in all, the girls had fun, I think Coco did to. Maybe it is worth coming back today, but I’m pretty sure we won’t be back here in another year or two again.
