Our first wedding anniversary is not until another 2 weeks. But since Jhe’s work requires him to go out of town, we have decided to have our anniversary trip coincided with the long weekend.
Since we had our wedding reception at Discovery Suites, Ortigas. They also gifted us an overnight stay at Discovery Country Suites for our first year.
So, we packed our bags and headed to Tagaytay!
Our room wasn’t ready yet when we arrived that’s why we had lunch first at Pancake House. Then it rained hard, so our trip to Sky Ranch was postponed.
We just went back to the hotel, since our room is now ready.
We just stayed in our bed the whole afternoon. Coco enjoying the aircon and super fluffy bed.
At around past 5 in the afternoon, we went to the Verbena Restaurant for Wine & Cheese Tasting. Feelingera ako, when the waiter asked if I want wine. Ah sos! Eh iinumin ko pa lang, kulot na nose ko. I don’t like the smell. haha! But I loved the cheese part!
Back in our room, I was in the phone calling Jollibee when a knock on the door came. It was one of the hotel’s staff. He brought us milk and cookies – not just milk and cookies! Fresh hot milk and fresh from the over cookies! And I had this big smile on my face after receiving it.
Then, I got a bit stressed with Jollibee Tagaytay’s customer service. They didn’t even bother to call me back for my total and confirmation of order when I told them that I will call them back because I couldn’t understand a thing they are saying. I called back as soon the line was cut. But I couldn’t contact them anymore. So, I tried waiting for a few minutes for their call back, but didn’t receive any. After a few more minutes, I was able to contact them. But at least, their delivery was fast. Jhe and I feasted with fast food and Cinema One films.
Then the 2 boys fell asleep. I was left alone, awake. I went to the newest Starbucks in Tagaytay and bought some frappe for us.
Breakfast was ala carte style with unlimited juice/coffee, bread and fruits. My favorite meal of the day, breakfast! Happy belly ako!
After breakfast, we checked out the hotel’s garden then we just stayed n our room until time for check out, at 12 NN.
We went to Picnic Grove for some Taal photo op for Coco. Unfortunately, it rained. It took awhile before we were able to get a view of Taal Volcano for a picture because it is foggy. Coco was also able to ride his first horse!
Then, mandatory Bag of Beans for lunch and pasalubong shopping. Then off we go home back to Manila.
It was short and sweet but we totally enjoyed our staycation in the four corners of our room. Can’t wait for more vacations+staycations with my loves.
