#CreateHope for a Child today via Make A Wish Philippines

I couldn’t really remember when I realized I love to write. But I remember how my little self enjoyed writing on my composition notebooks back when I was in grade school. It was right before I started college, when I opened my first blog. It was simply an online diary for me back then. I would share how my day went, my feelings, essays on different topics and poems. It was also in college when it intensified. Aside from writing on my blog, it was my role as my school paper’s editor-in-chief that validated my passion.

As years went by, I started to realized how writing has been a huge impact on my life. I write because I want to share where I went to, how motherhood feels like, or how to mom a boy. I write because maybe, just maybe, someone out there is searching for something and could stumble on my blog. Who would have though that 17 years since I’ve opened my little space in the www, I would finally be able to make it legit, by having its own domain, and having a couple of loyal readers, plus earning from it as well, which is only a bonus. I write because I want to inspire and influence even just one person in this lifetime and this passion of mine has found its purpose.

I am thankful that I am able pursue this passion of mine, how ever tough life has been. But not everyone are privileged enough to do so. Dreaming for one’s future takes the back seat for some kids and their families. But does it have to be that way? Can we just dream and #CreateHope for the future that is yet to come, no matter what situation we are in? Let’s help give hope that has been missing in the life of children with critical illnesses, as well as their families, with Make A Wish Philippines.

April 29 is World Wish Day 2021 and the global Make-A-Wish community will be celebrating it’s 41st year since the first wish. So now, I challenge you, you who’s reading this to to post a photo of how HOPE lead you to where you are now and be an instrument of hope to Make A Wish Kids today and everyday.

Make-A-Wish® Philippines is the first and only nonprofit wish-granting organization in the country. We are an affiliate of Make-A-Wish Foundation® International, the world’s largest and most respected wish-granting organization. We make wishes come true for children with critical illnesses to transform their lives with hope, strength and joy.

Research shows that wishes can help improve a child’s quality of life, giving him or her a better chance at recovering. A wish experience is a turning point where children look past their limitations, families overcome anxiety and entire communities experience joy.

The foundation is dependent on the generous contributions of individuals and partner organizations. Donate and volunteer at www.wishes.ph
