It’s the time of the year again when every Catholic wakes up in the wee hours of the morning to attend the Simbang Gabi. Unfortunately, it is when a lot of Catholics really make an effort to attend the mass for 9 days. 9 Days of Novena completed, your ultimate Christmas wish will come true, for most.

Since  I was in high school, I see to it to complete the 9 masses, especially since I am part of the church choir. I almost always complete it. Due to I don’t know the reason, I didn’t go to mass for 2 years ata. But went back to my tradition in 2009.

I must have missed waking up very early, puto bumbong and bibingka, cold early Christmas breeze, the lugaw breakfast we have everyday and the company of my childhood friends. Then, I was with Gian and I wondered where the heck is Jhe then. He never fail to attend Simbang Gabi?! I texted him and learned that he doesn’t live in Ilang-Ilang anymore but in MRV na. That’s when it all started… our return of the comeback of our friendship, our relationship began all over again. Yes.. it’s nice to reminisce 🙂

We weren’t able to complete last year’s because I have “work/training” back then, but this year, we will see to it that we complete the 9 masses, for prayers and wishes for our future, this time, we’ll do the anticipated mass, instead. Since I have work early in the morning.
