To help you plan your visit and avoid crowds, we recommend starting from the top floor and working your way down. Below is the Tree of Life Foyer, one of the main attractions of the NMNH.
Ground Floor: As you reach the museum’s lobby, you will the gigantic skeleton of a Marinduque Sperm Whale and then be greeted by the awe-inspiring skeleton of Lolong, the largest crocodile ever captured at the Ayala Hall. You will also find the Tree of Life at the lower court yard. The ground floor also provides essential visitor services and serves as a grand introduction to the museum’s exciting exploration of the natural world.
Fifth Floor: Begin your exploration on the 5th floor, where the very essence of the Philippines is unveiled. Immerse yourself in the Philippine Biodiversity Gallery, a vibrant tapestry showcasing the archipelago’s unique flora and fauna. Delve into the Geology of the Philippines Gallery to understand the fascinating rock formations that shaped the landscape. Learn about the country’s precious resources in the Minerals and Energy Sources Gallery. PS. We went to the National Museum of Natural History at 3PM, so it is possible that in 2 hours, you can be done. You can plan a tour around Manila in the morning and head over the museum in the afternoon, like what we did.
