The year 2023 didn’t start great for me. Well, actually it was. I opened up the New Year at Regent St. in London. I spent the next few days in the Isle at my aunt’s before we flew back to the Philippines a few days after. Reality hit me when I got back in Manila. I had no work to return to and I have a pile of bills to pay, let alone pay for my son’s tuition and my other responsibilities at home. Thank God I got by the next few months. It was so stressful having no stable job. That’s why I thank all the brands that I collaborated with me the last few months because without them, I wouldn’t be able to get by. More than a month before my birthday, I think I am finally able to stand up from my fall. After a hundred of CVs sent, I finally got a job. I felt the load totally off my chest now. I am happier and lighter.

I was working on my birthday. My family was with me and of course, my best friend, Aimee and her little ones. It’s the first time I’m spending my birthday again with her after her migrating to the US and the pandemic. I couldn’t be happier! It was a simple celebration with the people I love and good food to share. Sharing with you few photos of my day. Great food ordered from Hot Dish PH – Fish Fillet with Tempura, Beef with Mushroom, Baked Mac & Cheese and Cheese w/ Yema Dip. A box of Lola Nena’s Toasted Siopao and Marshmallow birthday cake from Costa Brava. Can I just say all the food that we ordered from Hot Dish were just the best and worth it. I couldn’t really explain as I’m not really good at words when it comes with food. But the only think I can share is that, I am on a diet and you just don’t know how much I ate that day.
