We can Like someone because he/she may fit our criteria for like-ability. While, Love is different because it breaks the so-called criteria that we have for a person to be like-able. It is because the other is desired for who he/she is, abilities, talents, potentials, and whatso-ever criteria for like-ability, despite of his/her shortcomings and flaws.
