When i was a kid, one of my favorite bed time stories is Disney’s Peter Pan and i remember watching Hook (1991) and of course, just recently, Finding Neverland and Peter Pan (jeremy sumpter’s a cutie). The two latter movies captured my heart instantly.

The story was actually written by James Matthew Barrie. It was a stage play first before it became part of Disney. It was shown in Finding Neverland how the story of Peter Pan leap into existence. It’s actually because of the Davies Brothers. Yung Davies Brothers yung naging source ng plot ng story ni Peter Pan. Dun sa mga adventure nila tuwing naglalaro sila and yung mga stories na kinukwento niya sa mga bata. Other than that, what’s behind the “i won’t grow up” part? Naging inspiration din nito yung brother niya. It’s because he was always behind the shadow of his brother. His brother died and put his mother into grief. Him becoming like an unwanted child. Since his mother was in grief, yung naging notion niya is since namatay yung isang son niya, he’d remain as a kid. So, yun yung inspiration nun. tapos, He’s a lover of childhood and for him, everything is simplier as a kid.

Tapos diba si Wendy loves to be mother to her brothers, John and Michael when Mr. and Mrs. Darling isn’t around. So, si Peter, naghahanap ng mother-figure, eh diba sa buhay ni Barrie, never siyang nakaramdam ng motherly love. hay wala lang.

I don’t know why i love the story, but it’s very different from what i wanna happen before. If Peter doesn’t want to grow up, ako naman, i wanna grow up na agad. Hindi rin naman ako takot sa responsibilities. Ayaw ko rin maging tulad ni Peter na walang feelings coz if there’s one thing i love the most is the feeling of love, to love and be loved in return. Pero ewan ko ba why ko talaga favorite toh. it’s destined talaga siguro. *grins*

Finally, nakapag shop na ko ng Christmas gifts kahit hindi pa siya tapos, yesterday yun after namin mag church sa mega. Tapos today, wala. naka higa lang ako, nanood ng tv, naglinis ng room at hindi pa rin siya tapos hanggang ngayon.

wala lang. ang random ko kasi biglang Peter Pan ang topic ko. kasi naman, I keep on seeing the ad of Peter Pan na stage play showing next year. Eh kitang favorite ko nga siya.
